Breathing new life into old jewellery

When old jewellery begins to wear down, to fade from its former glory, it doesn't mean that you should just give up on it. There are lots of ways to reuse old jewellery, breathing new life into old treasures.

One particularly memorable piece came from my client Sharan.

Sharan came to me with pretty ancient ring featuring a beautiful cluster of diamonds. Unfortunately the ring had become worn over years of loving wear. The setting had also become loose, threatening to let the diamonds fall out.

When I met Sharan at a networking event, she seemed very keen to do something with the ring, but had no idea where to start. We chatted for a while and Sharan became excited at the prospect of repurposing the jewellery she loved so much.

"Karina was the catalyst for me, without her I would never have got around to it…"

The ring I crafted with Sharan's input featured a central diamond with a teardrop cluster around it – a spectacular piece that she will treasure forever.

Almost any old piece of jewellery can be reused and repurposed into something fresh, beautiful and unique. Whether it is an old family heirloom or simply a piece you have become tired of, get in touch to discuss how to turn it into something unique that you will love to wear.
